Bucket List - Part 1

With all the life changes that happened last year, I've been doing a lot of thinking as to what I want to accomplish in my life and what I want out of life in return. So I've resorted to the standard "Bucket List" to put it all out there in the open. I'm going to split them into 2 parts; 2012 bucket list of things I want to do by the end of this year, and my lifetime bucket list of things I want to do by the time I die.

2012 BUCKET LIST

  1. Get my passport.
  2. Actually use my passport.
  3. Attend a yoga retreat.
  4. Run a full marathon.
  5. Do something incredibly spontaneous.
  6. Do something that scares me.
  7. Learn how to be happy alone.
  8. Take a solo trip somewhere.
  9. Appreciate the small things.
  10. Try as many new types of cuisine as possible.
  11. Learn a second language.
  12. Continually make steps to simplify my life.

I realize a couple of the items are pretty vague, but that just adds to the adventure of it all. There's also way more than 12 things I want to cross off my list this year, but I figure 12 is appropriate and it won't be overwhelming. And when I accomplish more than that, I'll feel like an overachiever! Part 2 to follow soon :)

What are a few items on your bucket list?

Do you have short term and long term bucket lists?

short term run a marathon

long term go back to Italy!

What I need to do is write them all down like you have done, great list. Hope you get them all accomplished!

Get that passport and go! Learn the language of the country you will visit--two for one.

Great idea to break it into short and long-term goals.

I love your bucket list! And I love the idea of breaking it into 2012 and life time...I am going to steal this idea for my blog! If you want to do an awesome yoga retreat, my friend Courtney leads one in Costa Rica and I think I am going this year. I am also going to try and go to Wanderlust, either in Tahoe or the one in Colorado if I am not in Norway at the time. My New Year's resolution is to do more yoga!

This year--do an olympic length tri

Lifetime--visit Australia, Alaska, Hawaii

I should make a bucket list as well. It's good to put them in writing, it's more real that way.

I have quite a lengthy bucket list but my big item for this year is running a marathon.

Good luck on knocking all of your items off the list!

Yes, I have a 2012 bucket list but a new venture in our lives that just occurred will take priority but here are a couple small things...

1. Visit 5 new places (city, town, hike, state/national park or...)

2. Have matching pajama sets. I know it is silly, but I feel better when I match. ;)

3. Start a run streak. I'm just recovering from being sick since Christmas so I am hoping to start this soon.

Oh, oh I will help you use your passport, even if it is just to go to Canada, eh! :)
